Harry Styles Love On Tour Experience -London Edition
Let me tell you about one of the most surreal and magical nights of my life. I was so fortunate to see the one and only Harry Styles live in concert at the first of his four sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium! The show was packed with a 90,000-strong crowd of fans from all over the world, including myself and a group of three friends from Tampa, Florida, who traveled to London specifically for this event. Yes, I know what you are thinking…we sound utterly insane to cross the pond just to see Harry Styles, but he lights up our world like nobody else! (You had to see this one coming)!
Prior to this, I had never been to London before and dreamed of seeing this venue. My expectations did not disappoint. The energy arriving at Wembley Stadium was incredible, unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It was BUZZING! Feathers from every color boa imaginable filled the air and the ground as the wind blew. Thousands of fans lined the street outside buying their merch and taking photos in some of the most intricate outfits I’ve ever seen.
Upon his homecoming, Harry began the concert by shouting, “Honey I’m home!” Styles performed a two-hour set each show to a whopping total of nearly 360,000 fans, over the course of his 4-night stay. The uptempo setlist included some of his biggest hits (and unreleased hits); as well as some newer songs from his latest album, “Harry's House”. The crowd was singing along to every word, and Harry seemed to be having the time of his life running, jumping, and dancing down the long catwalks of the stage. He often interacted with the crowd, even stopping mid-show to read funny signs brought by concertgoers.
The highlight of the night for me was Harry's performance of "Sign of the Times." The song was accompanied by a Disney-esque fireworks display, the stadium roof was lit up in the colors of a rainbow (picture below) as the crowd erupted with cheers.
It was an unforgettable night of screaming, singing, and a ridiculous amount of dancing. A dream come to life memory I got to make with my friends, which I will cherish and hold onto forever.
