Harry Styles Love On Tour Tampa!

After nearly two years of waiting, my day to see HARRY STYLES in my hometown finally came; and yes it lived up to all of the hype and hysteria. My friend and I arrived at Amalie Arena in Tampa, to day camp, around 7am on the morning of Sunday, October 10th. Only to be in line behind 300+ people who had been there since pretty much the night before! We had general admission tickets for the Watermelon pit, which was chaos, but also a glorious, frenetic controlled chaos. As we sat outside the arena chatting up other fans, the anticipation for the night continued to build every second. Harry actually bought Dunkin’ Donuts Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Donuts for all of the fans waiting outside. So in case you were wondering, yes “Harry Styles fans do run on Dunkin!”

I was impressed yet also shocked when I saw groups of girls showing up as early as 6am in their full hair, makeup and outfits ready for the show scheduled to start 14 hours later. We planned to sit outside in shifts, that way we could each go home and get ready (a tip I highly recommend). Security told us that we should plan to be back at the arena ready to go by 4:30pm, as they let us into the arena at 6pm (Reference pictures in the Gallery). Once inside the arena, the pit became totally packed and opening act Jenny Lewis didn’t appear on stage until 8pm. Be prepared to stand inside the arena for another two hours once you are let in. Harry himself came on around 9:05pm and played until 10:45pm.

This was a night I will never ever forget, all of the waiting leading up to seeing Harry was definitely worth it in the end. If you have tickets for pit at an upcoming Love On Tour show, I say arrive early get your spot in line, HYDRATE! HYDRATE! HYDRATE! And wear the most comfortable shoes you possibly own. Most importantly live in the moment and have the time of your life!
