Another Tik Tok star Mimi Webb has been taking the music industry by storm with her short clips singing in her bedroom and her car. At just 21 years old the English native, Mimi has released her debut EP “Seven Shades of Heartbreak” I actually discovered Mimi Webb quite a few months ago when I was scrolling through my Tik Tok feed, I remember being immediately attracted to her powerful, distinctive voice. She has racked up 1.2 million followers just on Tik Tok and another 100k on Instagram. Her voice almost reminds me of fellow British singer Ellie Goulding.
On this EP Webb starts with a song about being in a fun-loving relationship or first love, as she titles the first track “Dumb Love”. The lyrics read “We had that you jump and I'm jumping Crazy kind of something, that dumb love, We had that young love” As the EP continues the songs quickly change to the expression of letting love go. Though the songs don’t feel sad, they are upbeat tunes with bold lyrics, the track titles 24/5 is a break up ballad yet still something listeners will want to get up and dance to. Mimi Webb is definitely one of the most talented artists that I have discovered while scrolling through my Tik Tok feed. I often times find that I enjoy British singers more than American artists sometimes, I think social media platforms have become a great way for finding new talented artists that may not have been discovered otherwise. Seven Shades of Heartbreak only features 7 songs with no collaborations, just Mimi herself. One day I could definitely picture her collaborating with Demi Lovato, their belting vocals together would be totally incredible.
Overall, this review is receciving a 10/10 because this is one of the greatest debuts I have heard from a young Tik Tok star my own age. If this is just the start for Mimi Webb I can’t wait for what is to come!!! I can imagine how great her music in the future will be.

Go stream Seven Shades of Heartbreak now!!

-XOXO Rachel
