Tate McRae ‘Think Later’ Album Review

Tate McRae's sophomore album, "Think Later," has been generating a wild buzz since its release last month. If you're a fan of Tate’s catchy singles and relatable lyrics, you'll find plenty to enjoy here, as she isn't afraid to dabble in different sounds. Even incorporating elements of R&B, trap, and dance into her upbeat bangers. This variety keeps things interesting and showcases McRae's versatility as an artist.

She had one of the biggest songs of the year with her chart-topping single "greedy," praised for its infectious melody, sharp hook, and confident delivery. Many have found her vibe to be reminiscent of Britney Spears in her early years. Tate’s many devoted fans connect with her honest and vulnerable lyrics about heartbreak, self-discovery, and navigating the complexities of young adulthood.

Prior to the release of “Think Later”, Tate grabbed the world’s attention with her outstanding performance during her Saturday Night Live Debut in November of 2023 debuting new songs from the new album!
Since the release of her debut album her vocal presence and songwriting abilities have only continued to grow and shine! But don’t mistake her for an overnight success. Before “Think Later”, McRae released several singles. Until her sad-girl anthem, “You Broke Me First” went viral on TikTok during the height of COVID in April 2020, and became the second-most streamed song by a female solo artist in 2020. It still remains her third most popular song on Spotify!

This time around she partnered with prolific singer/songwriter and producer Ryan Tedder of One Republic to produce her new era of sound as her success continues to skyrocket!

If you’re looking for songs to bop to in the car and dance around your room, this is it! “Think Later” is a solid pop album with undeniable highlights that slowly shy’s away from the sad girl hits and displays a new found confident bad girl side that die hard Tate fans are sure to enjoy!

Check it out below! Happy Listening!
